Certainly the most alluring base from which to explore Dominica: A genuine 17th century manor house that has been transformed into a charming little romantic hotel with only 4 rooms and one suite. The well-groomed, 2 acres large tropical park borders the Pagua River, whose clear, warm waters tempt guests to go for a swim or on a kayak trip. Around 250 yards further, the river flows into the sea forming a wild beach (photo). The owners personally attend to the needs of their guests. The restaurant serves exquisite food.

Location:Next to Marigot on the northern coast bordering the Carib Indian territory; 10 minutes drive to Melville airport, 45 to capital, ferry and Canefield airport.
